Meg is super friendly and extremely smart. Guided by her former owners, Dr. Leslie and Ken Phillips of Texas, her exceptional behavior earned her a CGC (Canine Good Citizen) title, but the trainer who certified her failed to send the results to AKC and attempts by Dr. Phillips to locate her have failed. Nonetheless, it is obvious when you meet her that the title was earned.
Meg is unquesionnably one of the sweetest dogs on the planet. She loves every person and dog she meets. It is her innate love and gentleness that inspired Pastor Dave Stevens to ask if we would consider allowing her to work in his church's Nursing Home Program. We have had the pleasure of watching (and loving) her for two years, feeling all along that Meg missed her calling. Because she can offer so much more to life working in this capacity, she was retired from our program. Meg is a doll. Those who are blessed with one of her pups know exactly what we are talking about.
She is now living with Pastor Dave, wife Paula, and 8 year old daughter, Davena. She sleeps in Davena's bed at night and works with Pastor Dave at the Clovis First Church of God. She is now an official, Certified Therapy Dog!
