SACHA, CGC (the red girl above) Human Parents say at 4 months of age: "She is sturdy and stocky like her daddy, solid as a rock with leg muscles like a linebacker. She is such a lover, and what astounding intelligence! Yesterday, I looked at her and said, 'Sacha, Mama's going to give you a bath in the shower.' She immediately trotted over to the shower, went inside, laid down on the floor, and looked up at me. Although she's watched me bathe Barney there, this was her first experience, but she knew exactly what I said. After being bathed/dried/brushed, she decided she was MY DOG and spent most of the evening snuggling with me on the couch, much to Barney's annoyance. Her hair is GORGEOUS. It's several shades of red now, everything from light red to dark, but she's currently what I'd call cinnamon. She has a face to die for!! But oooooh, is she ever sneaky............and her tail curves -- everything about her just makes her more adorable to us!"
Comments by her human parents about the Beach pictures above: "This went on day after day. Sacha would start digging. Barney (the light apricot in the pictures who is a Meg pup at 10 months of age) would eventually help, lose interest, come back and dig some more, lose interest........but Sacha always stayed with it until Barney managed to lure her away."

The two pictures above were taken when Sacha (red girl) graduated from Beginning Obedience. Sacha's coat color has changed from a dark apricot as a baby to the beautiful red shown above at just 7 months of age. She should be completely red as an adult. She also passed her Canine Good Citizen test on 5/28/09. Congrats to Bob, Lynn and Sacha!

JASPER'S Human Parents say: "Jasper is a wonderful boy. He must have inherited this from Daisy: I left my athletic shoes out. He unlaced them, but did not chew them like most pups. A very skillful job that I have never experienced."

The poodle pup shown above is KOZMO (2 months of age left, 4 months old center with his housemates, and 20 months of age right retrieving a pheasant during one of his master's hunts). He is lovingly owned by Kimberly and Brad Koltak of Silver Springs, MD. His Human Parents say at two months of age: "Kozmo is full of spunk and energy and is quite the self-possessed little dog. He has taken serious liking to feathers, both chukar and pheasant wings. I found cloth bumpers that have a pocket on one end and a elastic band on the other that hold a chukar wing (puppy version) or a pheasant wing (full size version). He retrieves that (with the help of a check cord outside and a hallway inside) quite readily. We've started his basic obedience work already and are working on sit and down. He's sharp as a tack and is doing well in all things. I hope to be introducing him to quail in the next couple weeks. I believe he will be a flusher, which is good as that is how I shoot best."
At 8 months, human parents say: "He is holding about 98% of the time, and BOY does he love to retrieve. I think his drive has increased since I got him to hold and deliver the bumpers! He runs like a gazelle, it's amazing how fast he is. I'm planning on bringing some chukar home this week to work with him over the weekend and into next week. Wow I can't wait until next bird season, I've made a promise to myself to take both my dogs to either South Dakota or Iowa for some pheasants. I think Koz is a great dog!"
At 20 months, human parents say: "Kozmo has grown into a very handsome guy. This year he got introduced to pheasant hunting, we didn’t get to go that often because of work, but we got out maybe 5 times. He is an avid retriever and enjoys hunting as well as playing catch with the tennis ball. Attached is a photo (sorry it’s a little blurry, but he’s hard to catch on the run) of Koz with a pheasant. He’s been a joy to have around and we are very glad to have found you all. Thanks again."
At years of age, human parents say: "Kozmo, my yellow lab Grace and I got in 3 glorious days of pheasant AND quail hunting in north western Kansas. We hunted walk-in hunting lands exclusively. The CRP cover was fantastic, really heavy and thick at times Kozmo even disappeared from sight. Kozmo flushed bird after bird, mostly hens, but we finally bagged his first rooster. Then he went on flush some quail on the same day in the same tract of land. We didn’t put much in the bag just one rooster and a pair of quail, but we really only had two days of hunting as the first day was eaten up by travel from southeastern KS to northwestern KS. I think if we would have had a couple more days the bag would have been much fuller. I consider it a very successful hunt just based on the fact that Koz has had less than a dozen preserve hunts under his belt and yet he adapted to the different type of hunting. His gait is beautiful and he just seems to glide even in fairly heavy cover. He didn’t seem to tire at all while hunting and was always eager to get out of the truck and go find birds. This picture is the first rooster that he alone flushed and that I hit. I missed one earlier that day and one flushed wild due to his pressure and was out of range in the blink of an eye riding the 20+ mile/hr winds on our last day. I had to drag him back to the truck and pick him up and put him in the back, he wouldn’t get in on his own or even get close to the truck. I wished we could have stayed another day or two."

REMINGTON'S Human Parents say: "He is a sweetheart, amazingly smart, and FABULOUS." He is shown above at 5 months of age. He is adored by Donna and Tom Hillin of Houston, TX.

MOLLY'S Human Parents say just 3 days after taking her home: "Molly is a remarkable puppy! She has learned more about her routines in three days than I could have imagined. She communicates her potty needs very clearly. The only accident she has had was while standing at her doggy door and John took too long to get there (he had to put layers of warm clothes on - big sissy). She has been taking the small walls in her yard by flying through the air in grand style. When she is active, she can be a Banshee - when she quiets down she naps away sweetly. (We haven't had much exposured to Molly Brat yet, but she did defiantly ignore Julie when ordered not to chew on the Christmas tree lights)."
At 6 months of age, human parents say: "Molly doesn’t pose very well for me on camera – too much “Ho Hum!” and “Wha’dya want from me now?” It is difficult to catch her in her wide, wide range of expressions from “Silly Idiot” to “Stern Reproach” – but mostly just plain “Happy.” Although the photos don’t show it, Molly is square of frame, very agile and slightly long and strong in the muzzle at this age. She is light in color but darkening across the back, on the backs of her hind legs and on the ears. She is now 22 inches at the shoulder.

Tara is Daisy's first female pup (shown above at 14 weeks of age). This is what her human parents say about her at 5-1/2 months of age: "Tara is a beautiful puppy who is growing quickly. She is a real pleaser in character, and is very intelligent. Her obedience training is going great! At her first class, she already knew everything they were teaching. It was good socialization for her, though. Besides the usual obedience, she knows several tricks. She also loves to fetch the dummy as well as the pheasant wing, and has a great nose. She does like to stay by our side, however, so we'll see how it goes with getting her out front to flush. With my husband's busy work schedule, looks like I will be learning how to hunt train her more than anticipated. So both she and I will be learning together one step at a time. All in all, we couldn't be happier with her. "
