We work hard to give our dogs the best possible care and feeding regime, as well as the highest quality supplements we can provide for the longevity of their life with us and with you as their new families.

As a breeder, my email has been flooded with Pet Food Recall notices over the past several months. My poor brain has lost the ability to memorize all of the foods that have been recalled in my attempts to share that knowledge with you. It is this fact that made me decide that a proactive (rather than reactive) approach to this problem would better benefit us all.

As a result, I spent probably a week's worth of time researching various pet food products. The end result of this research is the decision to feed our dogs Flint River Ranch Dog Food. Flint River’s food is "slowly" oven-baked twice under carefully controlled conditions and proper temperatures to change the hard-to-digest molecules of "raw" starches into easily-digested dextrines. Flint River Ranch's process acts as a "pre-digest" of the Kibble food, resulting in less strain on the dog's digestive system and allowing a greater degree of food absorption. A dog's intestinal tract is short; it functions in the most efficient manner when the food is concentrated and can be quickly digested. The important vitamins, minerals and food ingredients can then be easily assimilated into the dog's digestive system. Most of the leading brands of dog food steam and extrude their food, which not only results in hard-to-digest food, but also leaves the food almost raw, requiring the addition of harmful chemical preservatives.
The Flint River food is made three times a week and then shipped directly to you so that it is always fresh and never sits on a shelf for long periods of time. All of its products meet or beat Association of American Feed Control Officials’ Standards.
Because Flint River Ranch dog food products are high-density, you feed 20-25% less than other foods. Each serving delivers the maximum nutrition without fillers, so you'll notice less stool volume and cleanup. (Quantities will vary based on climate and activity level. You want to feed an amount that will maintain the dog's weight.
