If you are wondering why you should choose one of our pups, please read our Why Our Pups page.

GENETIC TESTING: We take our commitment to the breed very seriously by going beyond surface testing with hips and eyes. In an effort to protect our gene pool and preserve genetic diversity in our Standard Poodles, we accomplish DNA testing for several harmful mutations. We test for Degenerative Myelapathy (DM), Neonatal Encephalopathy (NEwS), and vonWillebrands Type I (vWD) to ensure that our pairings will not result in affected pups. Details are noted on our Genetic Testing Page.

Additionally, we closely watch the co-efficiency of inbreeding of our parent dogs and the pups they produce. Inbreeding (or line breeding as many breeders call it) perpetuates the problems found in dogs as a dog used over and over again in the same line may carry a disease unknown to the breeder, and the negative gene(s) is then doubled, tripled, quadrupled, etc. in its offspring. Because of all of the unknowns involved, we subscribe to Dr. John Armstrongs' (Canine Diversity Project) breeding recommendations of using only dogs with a co-effeciency of inbreeding below 10% (we actually use 8% as our upper limit, although most of our breedings result in COIs below 3%), in addition to conducting diligent research into the health of the dogs used in our lines.

Tapping Tennis Shoes SORRY, WE DO NOT HAVE ANY PUPS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE.

We are anticipating some exceptional litters in 2010 or early-2011, with pups expected late-Spring 2010 and after (ready to home Summer 2010 and later). Our plans are:

CH Kiss X Trigger. Pups are expected around May 14, 2010 (ready to home July 9, 2010) and will be apricot and black. This is the first time they have been bred together. Their pups will have a very low 10-generation COI which will be posted as soon as it is calculated. They are expected to have smaller standards (around 23" tall as adults), but pups should be beautiful in conformation and substance. Their puppies' pedigree can be viewed here. (You can view 5 generations by scrolling to the bottom of the pedigree page and clicking on the link.)

Rose X Trigger (Pups are expected late-Spring 2010 to early-Summer, ready to home late Summer to Early-Fall 2010). All pups, with the exception of one or two possible light apricots, are expected to be dark apricot to red. I cannot take anymore reservations for this litter until pups are born and we see how many she has. I already have six pups reserved. This is a repeat breeding. Their first litter together produced exceptional pups in both beauty and temperament. Their pups will have a very low 10-generation COI of 1.11%. You can see some of their previous pups together here. Their puppies' pedigree can be viewed here. (You can view 5 generations by scrolling to the bottom of the pedigree page and clicking on the link.)

SR Bear X Ace. If Bear and Ace are bred late-2010 (probably late-October), pups will be silver and white, ready to home late-2010 or early-2011. Bear X Ace pups should be georgous as most dogs in their lines are very similar in type. Their pups would have a 10-generation COI of 7.04%. This breeding will be a first for both dogs and is dependent upon the results of the balance of their genetic testing (which will be completed within the next 6 months). Their puppies' pedigree can be viewed here. (You can view 5 generations by scrolling to the bottom of the pedigree page and clicking on the link.)

Misty X SR Titan JH. This will be a repeat breeding, as the results of their first litter together were quite exceptional. Misty X Titan pups would have a very low 10-generation COI of 2.14%. Our Cali is the product of their first litter together, therefore you can view her pedigree (which will be these pups' pedigree as well) here. (You can view 5 generations by scrolling to the bottom of the pedigree page and clicking on the link.) More Misty pups (some with Titan) can be viewed here. If she remains true to schedule, she would be bred October, 2010, with pups due in December.

Inquires are Welcome!
