If you are wondering why you should choose one of our (or our Co-Breeders') pups, please read our Why Our Pups page. Our Co-Breeders' methods may vary from our own, but I can assure you that they are just as committed to the health and well-being of the puppies they produce as we are. (Each of us are working hard at proving to the world just how wonderful poodles are, as evidenced by the various competitive venues we are involved in.)
GENETIC TESTING: We take our commitment to the breed very seriously by going beyond surface testing with hips and eyes. In an effort to protect our gene pool and preserve genetic diversity in our Standard Poodles, we accomplish DNA testing for several harmful mutations. We test for Degenerative Myelapathy (DM), Neonatal Encephalopathy (NEwS), and vonWillebrands Type I (vWD). DM, NEwS and vWD results are registered on the respective health records for our Standard Poodles with www.offa.org
Coat Color testing with VetGen and/or DDC labs has also been accomplished. These latter results are not posted on OFA, but are available in hard copy format with each puppy packet. Details are noted on our Genetic Testing Page .
Currently, we have no pups available and don't expect to have any until late this year. Please check our site again as we expect to announce our breeding plans soon.
In the meantime, you can contact Susan Cook if you have an interest in a white male, Lori Silverthorne if you are interested in a red pup, or Vicki Graf if you have an interest in cream pups.
OLDER DOGS ARE SOMETIMES AVAILABLE. Click here for availability.
